What a brilliant night! Having sold around 300 tickets, the night was a brilliant success. Everyone looked stunning and we thank you all for your support. The band ‘the vibe’ played their hearts out, which got everyone dancing until the early hours of the morning (see the pictures on the right).

We’re hoping everyone really enjoyed the night and if you have any feedback for us, we’d be grateful for your comments below. Next week we should have a figure of what was raised for Help for Heroes charity, so check back then.

White Horse Country Park Charity Ball

We know that the Ball is still a month away, but we are asking people to buy their tickets early, so we have numbers for food. The ball is formerly Racheal and Derek Hulins annual ball, but this year they have decided to hold it at White Horse Country Park and help raise money for Help for Heroes.

It really is going to be a brilliant evening, as there’s a live band, barbeque (vegetarian option available), disco, casino and chocolate fountain. Please come along and show your support, as you’ll be in for an evening filled with fun.

June & July Fishing

The lake has continued to provide excellent fishing during June and July.

Many double figure carp are being caught, also some good skimmers, bream and some strong tench. Some work has been carried out on the few pegs that were not so accessible, meaning that all 31 pegs are now in use. It has been good to see a good number of new members fishing the lake this season.

Once the golf driving range is completed it is hoped to start design and survey work on Lake no.2 !

Children, Children, Children…

Construction has finally finished and the children’s play park is finally open at White Horse Country Park.

Bring your kids down to White Horse Country Park in the summer holidays for a day filled with fun!

In our children’s play area there are swings, slides, stepping stones, rope ladders, balancing logs and more. Why not get out side in the sunshine and watch your kids play. Outside in the front of the play area there are picnic benches where you can bring your food and beverages out from the club.

On Sunday 29th August – Bank Holiday Weekend, White Horse Country Park are having one whole day dedicated for families to come along and just have fun!

Included on the day there will be;

Jennings Fair
Train Rides

Bouncy Inflatable Leisure
Face Painting
BBQ
And much much more.

There’s plenty to do for all ages, so come along and bring your family. The event will run late into the evening where there will be a children’s disco and a live band.

Summer Holiday’s Children’s Play Area

All last week, the children’s play area was under construction. White Horse Country Park has been racing against time to get it finished before the children’s summer holidays start. Completion date for the play area is the middle of next week (Wednesday 28th July). The play area includes: swings, bridges, stepping stone/blocks, slide, rope ladder, balance beam and much more!

It really is a great place to bring your children in the Wiltshire area. Not only does the park have a children’s play area, but there is plenty to do for everyone, including golf, fishing and remember we have our bowls day this weekend (see here for details)!

Friendly Bowls Day at White Horse Country Park Wiltshire – Saturday 24th July

Come along and enjoy a friendly game of bowls in Wiltshire with the Westbury bowls team. It’s an ideal day out to have a go, or just come along and join in. All teams are welcome and there is also a FREE buffet with plenty of laughs!

Progress at the Park

White Horse Country Park has really started to take shape in the last couple of weeks and will be even better by the end of this week. Fences are going up to separate the golf course from the car park, there is now a tunnel for the miniature trains to go under and by the end of next week, the children’s play area will be finished. Look at the pictures on the right to see the progress and check back next week to see the finished children’s play area!
