Golf Course Open Day

Saturday 4th June, 1pm Start

Open to all levels including children, whether you have never played before or a seasonal golfer, there will be something for all to enjoy for free!

Day includes

Children’s tri golf practice area with specialised coaches
Short range target area
Driving area
Putting area
4 hole trial for golfers (own clubs required)
Bouncy castle & climbing frames
Refreshments available from the clubhouse

There will be plenty of members available to help you enjoy your day.

Kitchen Refurbishment Complete!

We have finished refurbishing the kitchen and are re-open for food starting Mother’s Day (Sunday 3rd April). Food is available all day from 10am – 10pm, so if you’ve finished a round of golf or want a bite to eat before you catch the carp of the day fishing; the club is happily to serve! Remember, we are also doing carvery’s on Sundays, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Refurbishment of the ladies toilets

You may have noticed that the ladies toilets are looking a bit ‘used’. Well we are now refurbishing them and are hoping to have them complete by Tuesday 15th March.

Please see an updated photo of the small lake for our new obstacle for the Wiltshire Golf Course at White Horse Country Park. The liner is now in and it is now being used as a proper golf course obstacle.

White Horse Driving Range

Construction will begin very shortly for White Horse Country Park’s Golf Driving Range. As soon as the weather clears and spring is here, the Driving Range should soon be complete. Check back soon to see the latest updates of Wiltshire’s biggest Driving Range!

Please see an updated photo of the small lake being dug out for a new obstacle for the Wiltshire Golf Course at White Horse Country Park. We are currently awaiting the liner to go. Check back soon to see the obstacle completed for the Wiltshire golf course.

NEW Golf Course Obstacle

Yes that’s right, within a couple of weeks, the Golf Course at white Horse Country Park Wiltshire will have a new obstacle added to it.

A small lake is currently being dug out and we are hoping that construction will be finished within a couple of weeks.

Check out the pictures on the right of the White Horse Country Golf Course, Wiltshire.

June & July Fishing

The lake has continued to provide excellent fishing during June and July.

Many double figure carp are being caught, also some good skimmers, bream and some strong tench. Some work has been carried out on the few pegs that were not so accessible, meaning that all 31 pegs are now in use. It has been good to see a good number of new members fishing the lake this season.

Once the golf driving range is completed it is hoped to start design and survey work on Lake no.2 !

Progress at the Park

White Horse Country Park has really started to take shape in the last couple of weeks and will be even better by the end of this week. Fences are going up to separate the golf course from the car park, there is now a tunnel for the miniature trains to go under and by the end of next week, the children’s play area will be finished. Look at the pictures on the right to see the progress and check back next week to see the finished children’s play area!

Driving Range Update

Although the picture on the right doesn’t look like much, what you are seing is the ground being dug out for the footings, for the driving range. Once these are in, you will be surpised how quickly it gets finished. Get ready for the largest driving range in Wiltshire! Check back soon for further updates.

Proof of White Horse Country Park!

Since changing hands and becoming ‘White Horse Country Park’, there has been no proof that the park really has changed from Lafarge sports club. Although the brown signs are still on the main road which says ‘Lafarge’ we have finally got the first White Horse Country Park sign up. Come and visit the Park to play a round of Golf (soon to have the biggest driving range in Wiltshire), or why not try and catch a carp from our fishing lake. Remember there is always live music in the bar on Friday nights, so come and check it out; hopefully you will be able to find us now!
